Jacques’s passion for travel, coupled with his love for people and animals, landed him his dream job twelve years ago when he began his career as a Tour guide. Since then, all who travel with him have been the happy beneficiaries of the cheerful travel-induced lust for life that drives him. A self-confessed tree hugger, birder, history buff and all-round oddball bohemian, Jacques takes his joy in life from sharing his passion with his tourists and friends. He makes his home in the Mother City – Cape Town – but he is just as comfy in a hut in Zambia, snorkeling in Mozambique or just kickin’ it with the locals from Namibia to Botswana, Zimbabwe to Lesotho or hanging with his awesome Swazi friends in the kingdom of Eswatini. Jacques speaks Afrikaans and English and is fast becoming fluent in German.
